Having Trouble With Student Pack Verification (Low Camera Quality) #180550
-
Hi everyone,Hello, I’m trying to apply for the GitHub Student Developer Pack, but my application keeps getting rejected. I have my student ID, and I also have a school email, but the verification requires a live photo holding my card. My laptop/phone camera is very low quality, so the text on my ID becomes unreadable, and it gets denied every time. I do have a clear screenshot of my student ID (much clearer than my camera can capture), but the system doesn’t allow me to upload it. (Maybe i'm just not aware on how) Is there any alternative verification method or a way for GitHub Education support to review this manually? Any guidance would really help. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, or if this question has been asked many times before. Thank you! |

Hi @HaiqalAly, Unfortunately, the upload option isn't always available and manual reviews aren't provided so you have to submit a live photo using your device's camera. If the photo is blurry, try again until it looks good as also indicated in the Student Developer Pack Application FAQs:
Make sure to fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. Then log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated. You can also try submitting the application from your phone or a different device. If you need more assistance, contact support by opening a ticket here, select " |
