File Type/Size: Could you mention what type of file you are trying to attach (e.g., .png, .js, .pdf)? It's possible the file is too large or is in a format that isn't currently supported.

Test with a Different File: Does this error occur with any file you attach, or only with this specific one? Trying to attach a simple, plain text file (.txt) could be a good test.

Retry or Restart: Sometimes these can be temporary issues. Have you tried closing and reopening the Copilot agent or your IDE to see if it resolves the problem?

same here, i am copy image and paste to copilot chat, usually is work, but after last update and i have been restart the vscode, but same message

I've worked around it by creating a new chat, which allows me to continue working

Sometimes the extension can’t upload the image properly:
Save the image to disk first (e.g. desktop/screenshot.png).
Then in Copilot Chat: Use “Attach file” or Drag & drop the file into the chat.
Avoid super-huge files; stick to normal PNG/JPEG screenshots.
