I can definitely help you with this GitHub Education approval issue. The
main problem seems to be that your college doesn't provide academic email
addresses, which is unfortunately a common requirement for GitHub's
verification process.
Here are a few solutions you can try:
*For the email issue:*
Contact your college's IT department or registrar's office and ask if they
can provide you with an official academic email address. Many colleges do
have them but students aren't always aware of how to get one. Sometimes
they're available through your student portal or learning management system.
*Alternative verification methods:*
If your college truly doesn't provide academic emails, you can try
verifying your student status using other documents like:
- A current enrollment letter from your registrar
- Your official transcript
- Student ID card (make sure it shows current dates)
- Any official document that shows your name and current enrollment
status
*Tips for your next application:*
Make sure all your information matches exactly across all documents. Use
your full legal name as it appears on official college documents. Upload
clear, high quality images of any documents you submit.
*If you keep getting rejected:*
Try reaching out to GitHub Education support directly through their help
channels. Explain your college's situation with email addresses and ask
what alternative verification they accept. Sometimes human review can help
in cases where automated systems fail.
Don't give up! Many students face this same issue and eventually get
approved. The key is often finding the right combination of documentation
that works for your specific college situation.
Let me know if you need help with any of these steps!

Hi @Infernys Since your college doesn’t provide a student email, the best way is to reapply using extra documents. When submitting, add a short note like this:
If it still gets rejected, contact the GitHub Education Support team directly: |
