Interested in contributing but having trouble understanding the codebase

I’m really interested in contributing to this project. However, I’m currently having some difficulty understanding the codebase and figuring out where to start.
Could you provide some guidance on which parts of the project would be good for a beginner, or point me to any documentation that would help me get started?
