Is there any way to enable/disable any .SO extension automatically?

I searched and found only this topic : #177 , however, still not clear.
Is there any way, without us requiring to manually locate the php.ini and add by hand : extension=xyz.so. Would be nice, i.e.
pickle enable xyz . phpbrew has such functionality.

Nope, AFAIK pickle is not able to do that
