We can't help you here @McSinyx for the banned homeserver, get in touch with your administrator and he/she must get in touch with matrix hq and clarify it with them. |

I'll try asking the admin again, but is there any specific reason for the room to inherit that ban list? |

The Matrix URI scheme has been standardized.
BTW my homeserver (halogen.city) is banned, which I believe to be because the ban list is inherited from matrix.org HQ room. AFAICT few years ago there was a spammer using an account on the homeserver to spam offensive stuff (that person is still alive and spamming the homeserver's lobby but using kiwifarm accounts instead because halogen city registration is no longer as laxxed, poor admin has to ban those new KF accounts every other day).
My point is that I don't think the prejudice towards halogen city is any longer justified and I'd love to see the ban lifted.
