Account Changed Conversation

Hi,
I am writing this post to ask about my situation - my account conversion issue. I created an account with academic gmail: [email protected] in 2024. Unfortunately, perhaps because I didn't use it much, I completely forgot the password until a recent class required me to restart my Github account. I unlinked the above academic gmail to the old account and created a completely new one on the same gmail.
The unfortunate situation I encountered was that I could no longer apply this new account to the Education program because I received a notification that the old account had been activated.

So I wrote this post with the hope that Github would support me in converting Education apply from the old account to the new account I am currently using. Please check my account creation history based on gmail: [email protected] to understand the situation. On the other hand, has anyone in the community encountered the same situation as me and resolved it successfully?

Hi @DoraChan2011-Dung,

I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, and asking them to revoke your student benefits from the old account so you can re-apply.
