When Markdown files are converted to HTML, the colors of the text, background, etc. are hard coded in the CSS as dark text on white. It would be great if that could be adapted to color preferences to aid in accessibility. Two quick suggestions:
:root { color-scheme: light dark; }to the global CSSThese minor changes would not break the current behavior, but would allow users to adapt the presentation to their needs (prefers-color-scheme, forced-colors, etc.).
