Private Contributions Not Updating After Unchecking Option

Hello GitHub Support Team,

I recently unchecked the "Include private contributions on my profile" option in my profile settings, but my private contributions are still visible on my public profile. I have tried refreshing and waiting, but the changes are not reflecting.

Could you please assist or let me know if there is any delay in updating this setting?

Hey @Dipanshu-verma,

I just checked your profile and it looks like the issue has resolved itself. Your private contributions seem to no longer be showing on your public profile.

IIRC, this type of delay is actually quite common with GitHub profile settings. The most likely causes are:

• Browser caching (your browser could have displayed a cached version of your profile page. clear cache if it's still not working)
• GitHub's CDN caching
• Normal propagation delay

Please confirm if it works now!
