What happened?

The NVIDIA GPU Monitor Desklet causes noticeable system stutter. Removing this desklet removes stuttering across the system, while using any software, but especially in games.

Other information

Noticed a perf hit in Blender and Godot while developing.
Noticed visible stuttering not previously experienced in frequently played games.

Even at minimum graphics, stuttering persists, but is not reflected as performance hits in metrics or graph (or in Mission Center)

Removed the desklet, stuttering ceased. Re-added it, stuttering returned.
Removed it again, games, software, everything goes back to being buttery smooth.

Other desklets tested did contribute, but the NVIDIA GPU Monitor is the biggest culprit. By itself it contributes more to system stuttering than all other desklets available in the marketplace I have tried so far (about 90% of the downloadable).

Changing the polling rate directly impacted system stutter, but not in intensity, only in frequency.

If this desklet cannot be optimized to prevent system-wide stuttering, it is self-defeating. This kind of tool is typically used to help troubleshoot performance. Causing the very issues it is there to help troubleshoot makes it non-viable.
