install of argo fails because the AppSet CRD is too large now

kubectl apply -n argocd --force -f manifests/install.yaml

The CustomResourceDefinition "applicationsets.argoproj.io" is invalid: metadata.annotations: Too long: may not be more than 262144 bytes

Seems like this recent PR https://github.com/argoproj/argo-cd/pull/24277/files added a lot to AppSet CRD
Workaround is to apply using server side
kubectl apply -n argocd --server-side -f manifests/install.yaml

Updating all docs to use --server-side flag now to avoid this issue
