Calendar - Displaying deep child notes

In the documentation it states for the Journal Calendar.

Direct children of a day note will be displayed on the calendar despite not having a dateNote attribute. Children of the child notes will not be displayed.

So my understanding is only the note directly underneath the date note will be displayed on the calendar. So in my test below, "New note" should not appear on the calendar. However they all appear on the calendar.

Is this correct and therefore a bug or is the documentation incorrect?

If this is not the intended behaviour, is this something that can be controlled via an attribute?

You're correct: only direct children of a day note should appear in the Journal Calendar. If deeper nested notes (like grandchildren) are showing up, that's not the intended behavior and is likely a bug, not a documentation error. There's currently no attribute or setting to control or allow this—it's not configurable via attributes. The intended logic is for only direct children to be displayed in the Journal Calendar, and not deeper descendants reference reference.
