🧩 What icon are you requesting?

The icon should depict the mini-disc physical storage format that was in use for music and data in the 1990s. It was a competitor to CDs and had pop culture visibility (Neo hands over a mini-disc in the 1999 Matrix). Minidiscs are having a bit of a revival and new releases are still being put out even though the medium is almost 30 years old.

💡 Where would this icon be used?

To indicate a media format, alongside existing icons for cassette-tape, VHS, betamax, record, and compact-disc. Could be for a media library, or for a music site like BandCamp where minidiscs releases are sold.
