E-mail/SMTP implementation requires soon an update

Hello,
i want to raise awareness that changes on Microsoft side will require some updates in the SMTP implementation:
Exchange Online to retire Basic auth for Client Submission (SMTP AUTH)

We don't want to lose the email functionality and have already found #4991 "Need Support for OAuth 2.0 due to Basic Auth Deprecation". It would be great if this topic is prioritized and updated so that we could all use 'modern SMTP authentication'.
